Ampmobile® Conversions
LLC was founded by Mike and Paula
Moore in 2005, to help others find information about electric
vehicles, after we had so much difficulty finding information
for our own conversion.
In 2006 we went
from part time conversions to full time conversions, and more
research and development of better EV products.
In 2007
we increased our research to find
better batteries and more efficient ways to convert and
use electric cars and trucks, with the goal to design
and assist in motorcycle conversions next year. We may
also start workshops to teach others. More school visits and events
are planned as well.
In 2008
we conducted mini-workshops so you can do-it-yourself!. We are
also started on AC drive conversions and offer those now. The
motorcycle project has been put on hold until late next year, but
still in the works. We are "on the road" with MOBILE classrooms
too! See the workshops page for more details.
Thank you
all for visting us at the SOUTHERN ENERGY AND
ENVIRONMENT EXPO, www.seeexpo.com,
2009 brings more
Ampmobile news. We now sell components and packages for conversions,
the storefront page should be available by possibly late
spring/early summer. We are also going to be offering more books and
other goodies.
2010 has already
brought many changes tp Ampmobile Conversions. Check back mid-summer
for more info!
We are located in Lake
Wylie, SC (just outside of Charlotte, NC)
We convert gas powered
cars and trucks to totally electric. We are also conducting ongoing research,
development and education of clean, efficient, and
affordable modes of transportation and alternative
energies. We strive to help people
help themselves and better the environment.
Education is the key to
improving our world, our lives and our future generation's
lifestyle. By converting gasoline
powered vehicles to totally electric we will reduce tons of air pollution per year and our
dependence on foreign oil. At the
same time we are recycling unusable vehicles into useable modes of
transportation. We educate and
inform others of alternative forms of energies and
transportation.
We promote the use of
alternative energies, including solar power, wind power, solar water
heating, solar
cooking, water conservation and recycling, and more.
