Let's get serious here. Do you feel an EV will not fit into your lifestyle with current technology, but you want to be doing SOMETHING to help clean the air AND help to reduce our dependence on oil. NOW you can, by sponsoring an electric vehicle conversion or conversion workshop. If you would like to help someone else attend a workshop (perhaps a student) or offset the initial cost of a conversion for someone, please let us know. Have a group ready to learn how to do a conversion NOW? Call or email about setting up a private workshop. Call or email: info@ampmobiles.com about partial or whole sponsorship of either a conversion or workshop today.

PLEASE specify which workshop you are attending and if paying the deposit only or payment in full now.

The next workshop is scheduled for June 19-21, 2009 in Lake Wylie, SC. All requesting info are being contacted now.

Contact us at info@ampmobiles.com for more details or to sign up for the next classes.   If you would like to be added to the list, please include "2009 MINI-WORKSHOP sign up or MOBILE workshop for _______(area of workshop)"  in the subject line. Sorry, but we must have at least a $100.00 deposit or we can not hold your spot!

Inquire at info@ampmobiles.com about having a "traveling" workshop in your area! 10 attendees required and a sponsored site for classes. Contact us for more information. School, university and business inquiries are welcome. Email us to get your name on their lists or if interested in holding a workshop in your area.

Img13.pngMini Workshops are usually limited to 10 students per class. The workshop will allow the students hands-on basic DC conversion information.  Each converted vehicle is completed under the close supervision and instruction of Mike Moore. The mini workshop is 3 FULL days - usually from Friday-Sunday (9AM-6PM) . Workshop length will depend on vehicle used and size of class (occasionally there will be larger classes. They may be 4 days, but will be posted as to length of class before signing up, no surprises that way). The workshop will be a basic introduction to DC drive systems, battery discussion, wiring diagram reading, cable and wire crimping, control board and component placement and more. We usually discuss the differences in DC and AC systems as well. The selected vehicle will be assembled during the workshop and test-driven before the end of the last day. Again, THIS IS A HANDS-ON workshop, everyone is required to participate in some way with the assembly and conversion. Study materials and suggested reading will be sent to paid attendees only. Light breakfast, coffee, drinks and lunches are usually provided (except for mobile workshops, unless the sponsor provides food/drinks).

The cost for a mini-workshop is $425.00. A deposit of $100.00 ($25.00 non-refundable) is required and will add your name to the class roll for that specific workshop. The balance due must be received at least three weeks prior to the workshop date. This will allow us time to organize the class roll and add anyone if room is available.

Cancellations will receive a refund, less a $25.00 processing fee. PLEASE let us know immediately if you must cancel and do not sign up just to be signed up - we have had last minute cancellations that others could have filled in, if they had been given enough notice.

Payments can be through Paypal , Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express, money transfer, personal check or money order. Payments made by check must be made in enough time for check to clear the bank. Please notify us by phone or email if mailing your payment.

Contact us at info@ampmobiles.com for more details or to sign up. Please include "MINI-WORKSHOP sign up"  in the subject line.
